I like this one Sal. At first I thought it looked a little cartoon like, but not sure why. You’ve captured the light well, with the glowing tree tops on the headland, and the shade in the sand. The way you’ve portrayed the wet sand and incoming wash is observational, not cartoon.

Yep, it is tricky remembering something from two days before. I tried not to get hung up on details of the forms, I was more concerned with remembering the colour contrasts and why the grey/purple was so intense. That’s probably why it had a flat cartoon look. In the end I couldn’t remember very well but the washed sand and foam was the closest. It was a pretty surreal scene in any case! 🙂
