Great reeds Sal. I think the few marks crossing the page very important to the composition and leading the eye. The lime green clashes though and I wonder if a dark drab colour would be better and lead you into the scene. The reed colours are very good, especially the contrasting colours which are subtle and appear as you observe.
Insightful comment as usual Sam. I hear you on the lime green – I am struggling with the grassy verge that is often present where I draw ( the river just near us) – I need to spend more time looking and exploring that I think.
